Student Applicants and Students:
SEFLA collects and processes Information and Sensitive Information from individuals applying for admission to SEFLA or are admitted students only as necessary in the exercise of SEFLA’s legitimate interests, functions and responsibilities as a private language services provider. Information is collected from students and shared with internal parties to enroll in SEFLA, manage a student account, develop and deliver education programs, track academic progress, analyze and improve education programs, regulatory reporting, auditing, communicating, reenroll in SEFLA and other related processes and functions of SEFLA. We use the collected personal information to provide our services to you. We do not share your personal information with third parties.
Employees and Subcontractors:
SEFLA collects and processes Information and Sensitive Information from employees only as necessary in the exercise of the SEFLA’s legitimate interests, functions and responsibilities as a private language services provider and employer under Texas and federal laws. SEFLA will keep a record of the details that employees provided on their application form, any supporting documents requested and additional details provided by any references and recorded following any interview process. We will maintain various administrative and financial records about their employment at SEFLA and use of the facilities and services that SEFLA offers. Information and Sensitive Information is collected to assess suitability for a particular role or task; to support in implementing any accommodations; where relevant, to monitor, evaluate and support commercialization activity; to administer remuneration, payroll, and other standard employment functions; to administer HR-related processes, including those relating to performance/absence management, disciplinary issues and complaints/grievances; to provide access to facilities, services and staff benefits, and where appropriate to monitor use of such in accordance with SEFLA’s policies; for communications; to support training, health, safety, welfare and religious requirements; to compile statistics and conduct surveys and research for internal and statutory reporting purposes; to fulfil and monitor SEFLA’s responsibilities under equal access, right to work and public safety legislation; and to enable us to contact others in the event of an emergency.
Former Students: SEFLA collects and processes Information and Sensitive Information from individuals who are former SEFLA students, its past, current and future supporters, whether donors, tutors, or representatives only as necessary in the exercise of SEFLA’s legitimate interests, functions and responsibilities as a private language services provider under Texas and federal laws. Information and Sensitive Information is collected and shared with internal and external parties for communication purposes, surveys, providing services, solicitations, internal record keeping, and administrative purposes. We use the collected personal information to provide our services to you. We do not share your personal information with third parties.
SEFLA will not disclose or share personally identifiable information without your consent except for disclosures allowed by law.
Language Services Customers:
SEFLA collects and processes Information and Sensitive Information from individuals who are customers of SEFLA’s language services, including translation and oral interpretation services, only as necessary in the exercise of SEFLA’s legitimate interests, functions, and responsibilities as a private language services provider under Texas and federal laws. Information and Sensitive Information is collected from language services customers and shared with internal parties to provide and manage the requested services, ensure the quality and accuracy of translations and interpretations, communicate with customers, and for regulatory reporting, auditing, and other related processes and functions of SEFLA. Additionally, SEFLA may subcontract third-party language services providers to assist in delivering these services. We use the collected personal information to provide our services to you. We do not share your personal information with third parties.
2. Email and Form Information
If a member of the public sends an email message with a question or comment that contains personally identifying information or fills out a web-based form, that information will only be used to directly respond to the requestor or send information regarding enrollment, unless the web-based form indicates otherwise. The information will also be used in analyzing internet trends within the SEFLA domain for future navigation enhancement. The request for information may be directed to another part of SEFLA or individuals that may be in a better position to respond to the request.
